Hello, my name is Shane Sivertson,
I just logged on today. I have played for a number of years and have never been on one of these sites before.
Playing has been a passion since the first day I picked up the trumpet 23 years ago. I am also fond of composing and arranging. I do not make a living at music, at least not at this time in my life, but I strive to sound proffessional.
I am currently taking lessons with Charles Lazarus of the Minnesota Orchestra. He is a fantastic player, composer and all-round musician. Perhaps the best I have ever met.
Ok, everyone always wants to know about everyone else's trumpet. I play a Claude Gordon model 470, custom made by Joe Marcinkiewicz. This is the most beautiful, wonderful trumpet I have ever played. It is a great fit for me. I have always done better on open, free blowing trumpets.
My time is short, I will check in again sometime.
