I should have said a "Diatonic button accordion played in the irish style" probably tuned in the C#/D keyboard system. Thanks for the comments. Yes, I could just sell it for cash, heck everything has its price, right? Due to some illness, it was and still is a problem to my eyesight to play the trumpet (the pressure that is created), so I kind of had to give it up. I played in drum and bugle corps, Navy bands, community bands, small groups, even a polka band. No, I think I will find a deserving person who wants a little bit of history and a fairly nice horn to grow up with.
