| Re: Post humorous trumpet experiences here. Ok we are playing a concert at out school (winter concert i believe) and We are playing a song called Lullabt of Bigfoot. Its a funk chart where during the solo section the whole band cuts out 4 2 bars (4:4 time) and its just the soloist. Well, I'm playing my solo infront of the band and I see this guy walking in front of the stage on the ground level (Our stage in our theatre is raised about 6 feet off the ground) I remember this guy said some rude things to me before the show when I was just trying to be polite. Well, he walks infront of the stage right, and then he trips and falls and everyone sees it. Then my brain clicked. It must have been meant 2 be lol cause the timing was just so perfect. He fell just as I got to the part where the silence comes. Well, he falls, the silence comes, I point at him while still playing and do a laugh. (all you jazz musicians know what this is. When you imitate a lauging sound on ur instrument. People who dont think tom and Jerry when the mouse would laugh but it would be an instrument. Imagine it like that) Well, the theatre erupts in laughter because they think it is staged. I didn't see the guy afterwards but it was pretty funny (Hey, i like to mix my music /w comedey w/o sacrificing the quality of either lol Im such a jerk) |
