Kanstuls are very good, quality instruments made in Anaheim, CA, by Mr. Zig Kanstul. If you went through his history, you'd find there's not many American horn makers Zig didn't work for (Olds, Benge, I think Conn at one point). They've got a pretty wide line of horns for just about every application. I've heard some people give some complaints about their valves being a bit sticky during the break-in period, but I think most of that is due to improper lubrication and cleaning of the valve cylinders to clean out any metal wear that occurs early on. Usually they have very good valves. I recently got a Kanstul 1537, which is basically a Bach Strad clone (much like the B&S you've got), and I absolutely love it. Excellent horns, in my opinion.
