They are great horns when you can find them, though. I play in a community band with a fellow who has an Opera in beautiful shape. Tried it once and was quite impressed, really. It's my personal opinion that they're not worth the huge prices they go to when you can often get some stunning modern horns (Schilke, Kanstul, etc.) used in those price ranges, but they're always nice to see. |
