I am a sophomore in college and have not yet had a need to have or play a picc. It all depends on your level as a player. I would suggest that you wait on buying a picc until you are in college and talk with your professor about it. If you plan on being a jazz player for the rest of your life you may not ever have the need for a picc. I really think you should just focus on your Bb trumpet and maybe a C trumpet, if you already have one. Save the money from buying horns right now and use it to get lessons, or other supplies for when you start college. How old are you right now and how long have you been playing?
