Right now the orchestra I play with is in the middle of a conductor search, so the audience has questionnaires to fill out about the conductor. Apparently, a few audience members felt the need to comment on the trumpet section as well. Today we received this e-mail from the executive director:
Quote:
I hope you guys are in the mood for a smile – three audience members
made the following comments on their audience questionnaires from
this weekend:
“You need to dock the pay of the trumpet players because they
arrived on stage late for the Mahler. Very unprofessional behavior.”
“Why couldn’t the trumpet players get to the stage on time for the
beginning of the Mahler? Very distracting to have them arrive late.”
“The trumpet players were late and had to play their first notes from
offstage. Really threw off the balance.”
