Anyone who has visited the area or served in the military at the DMZ knows that generations of hate and distrust cannot be dispelled overnight, or with a bomb. Korea was overrun by the Chinese and Japanese and Americans also took sides. The suffering of the North has a lot to do with the infrastructure being run down and no support from the outside world (including China). The present government has not been exactly successful in getting aid commitments...........
The arts are a great non-political way to find a common denominator.
