You've touched on a new music nerve. These pieces are usually prepared to only be performed once, often in festival settings, denying the performers a chance to grow with them over a compressed amount of time in the fashion of, say, a concerto on a subscription series of a top orchestra. I'm VERY interested in how the last 2 concerts go. . .

We're improvising the interludes, by the way.
