| Re: After getting a Bb... Then what? This will depend upon which genre you end up playing the most. In the U.S. a C trumpet would be the prime choice for classical. A picc or flugel are specialty items that you might eventually find need for, but the C is your next step. I don't currently own a C because I transpose to concert pitch on the fly effortlessly with a Bb horn. I am looking at the purchase of a good flugel for playing in church services. For myself, I can find no current need for a picc. We are all different in our musical tastes and this will determine which horn we need the most to play our chosen musical form.
