The Monette double is very sturdy but like Jimi said, it's heavy! According to Dave, he doesn't like to have the horns upended in the case because it stresses the bell, hence no shoulder strap (note: don't get after ME if you don't believe it, I'm just reporting what they say!) As long as I don't have a really long way to walk, I don't mind the Monette double, really. After a while, I've found that my back feels better when I carry heavy stuff in my hand rather than over my shoulder anyway. It's not the most convenient case in the world, but it keeps my horns safe.
