| Re: The performance degree...myth or reality? I have always wanted to go to berklee. It gives the opportunity to still be rooted strongly in music performance even if majoring in music business etc.. I love music and thats what I have to do with my life but I just don't know that I can make it playing trumpet and I don't want to teach. So, I am transferring and switching my major from performance to music business or technology, but the program at the school I am transferring to does not really deal with musicality or performance. I am hoping my background in music gives me an edge, and maybe I can become good enough to play professionally. I think every day about staying and finishing my performance degree, but hopefully I will have time to finnish a performance major at the new school, and if not, I will at least have a minor. |
