I think the first guy got it down. I saw Brian Lynch and got his autograph, lol, he came to my college and is a very nice person. That was a pretty complete list of trumpet players. I would also suggest listening to other non-trumpet players as well as trumpet players though. Another thing is listen to big bands to help you with that style of playing, it's different than small combos.
