| Re: Latin Jazz Albums The best salsa group today is probably the Spanish Harlem Orchestra. They've recorded 3 albums so far: "Un Gran Dia En El Barrio," "Across 110th Street," and "United We Swing," and all of them are incredible. A good album for a trumpet player would be Poncho Sanchez's "Cambios," which features Freddie Hubbard on trumpet. Another good one is Bobby Shew's Latin album, "Salsa Caliente."
You pretty much can't go wrong with anything by Poncho, Tito, Arturo, Cal Tjader, Eddie Palmieri, Mongo Santamaria, or any of those guys.
