Well, this prototype, wich is the last before the production, had a little flat D. Of course, now it is in tune.
Anyway, lots of people plays D 1-3 and E 1-2.
Usually, I do it when going up (i.e. Scales). When going down, I play real positions.
It is not necessary, but helps your mind.
Details about this model:
Seamless bell -sppinned up from a copper (or brass) disc-.
Seamless leadpipe.
Bore is medium.
Valve cluster is made by Peter Pollard in the UK -monel pistons-.
By the end of this year, I will make my own valve clusters. I'm making some prototypes in diferent materials, such as stainless steel or various combinations of aluminium -which are very interesting-. Audi and other car top brands makes their pistons from aluminium -an alloy with special specifications-. Durability speaks for itself.
Who knows what will happen in the future...
