Thanks for your comments LiveJazz. I'm a comeback player and now I am playing quite a bit since I joined a local large ensemble. If I continue as expected I will likely want to get it back to it's original playing condition. I was kind of seeking affirmation of my thinking that the silver plated Conn 6B is worth the investment. I guess it really does come down to personal preference doesn't it? I would welcome other opinions though.
