After a quick web search I found a reference that Metzler started business in London in 1833; I didn't find anything that says if they are still in business. Your cornet looks like other examples that are supposedly "circa 1910."

Judging from appearance, I would say your horn is from the 1890 to 1910 era. It sure is cool, and I like the case too.
