I have narrowed down my options to following options:

Jupiter Tribute 1200S Trumpet
King Silver Flair 2055S Trumpet

I do realize that both of the horns are not the "best" on the market, and I can purchase a used professional model for the same price or cheaper. However, I really want a new horn.

With that said, is there anyone that can provide feedback on the aforementioned horns and their suitability for jazz, funk and soul music?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Buying a second quality instrument just because it is new is gross financial and artistic foolishness!!!! Be aware, the minute that you take possession of such a piece its marketability and market value goes down dramatically, just like buying a new car. The higher the quality of a horn, the better its resale value. Many top line accomplished instrumentalists have learned long ago that in most cases, the best instruments are the old ones. Can you imagine such as Bud Herseth giving up the Bach C trumpet that he has played for over forty years in The Chicago Symphony to play a sparkling new Bundy or Jupiter, or almost any violinist turning down an original Stradivarius violin from severral hundred years ago? I have a rather extensive 'accumilation' of elderly fine instruments that I play regularly in public, by choice. An example of this is the solo that I played as the featured soloist at a large local church on Easter Morning. It is a 1939 vintage Conn Concert Grand cornet. My trumpeter friend, Dave Rafferty has been in my music room and played most of my horns and I am certain that he would turn down most new horns to be able to gain access to owning many of my old horns.
