I would personally hesitate to buy a Thein trumpet without going to the shop. In my opinion, the best part of the instruments is the customization. They have probably over 100 leadpipes and tuning slides that you can just pop in and try. They also treat you wonderfully and they can make rediculously minute adjustments to fix things. I went to the shop with Sava Stojanov, who plays all Thein instruments and his Bb's thrid line D was low. He gave it to Max, who went downstairs, came up in two minutes and the D was in tune and the whole instrument rang more. That's my thought even though it is hard to get to Bremen from Illinois.
