If you start out with the hose and funnel I recommend the transmission oil funnel. The funnel is purchased at Wal-Mart and is usually black, long, and slender. The length is about 18 inches. It is by far the best choice for the bell. You will need a short, 8 inch, length of tigon tubing with an inside diameter of .75 inches. Jam the short length onto the funnel. Then you choose a length of .375 inch tigon tubing for the rest. I chose 8 feet. The .375 inch tube fits inside the .75 inch tube so you can transition to the funnel.

You will note that the .375 tigon tube is approximately the inside diameter of most modern trumpets.

I keep mine in the car and buzz on long trips. I have used it to irritate French horn players. I can nearly blend with the horn section with their $4000 plus instruments.

Tigon tube is purchased at Lowes or Home Depot.
