Really depends on the slide to greased.

Flip Oaks has the recipe on his side for Lanolin based greases (one for fixed slides and one for 1 and 3) that I find work pretty dang good. Tends to be Schilke like.

Others just use Vasoline.

I also like Selmer tuning slide grease the res sticky stuff for some things like loose fitting 3 slide dumps (like on a strad without a 3rd valve spit valve).

For the 1st and 3rd slides then it depends on what the horn likes and how fast you want them. Some just use valve oil and others go off into mixes of slide lube like the selmer thinned with valve oil.

Experiment and find what works best for you.
