Jim, does the serial no. on your 1965 Connstellation start with the letter "E"? I just turned 50 and still have the Connstellation that I bought used in jr. high school (circa 1971) for, coincidentally, $250. That's a great story about you getting a near-identical Connstellation back into your hands.
I won't part with my Connstellation, ever. I've owned the pro line of Yamaha trumpet and flugelhorn some 25 years ago, but was stupid in selling them -- maybe I was on some of the weed you smoked? Anyhow, I just bought a lightly used (with no dents/dings or scratches) Jupiter 846S flugelhorn with a serial no. starting with the letter "E," which has yet to arrive and which is one of the newer, better quality flugels made by Jupiter. I look forward to getting it and trying it out next week.
As for the rest of your Conn-heads, would you ever part with your vintage Conn horns?
Cheers!
