Re: Vintage Conn

I Really like my silver 6B Victor. It's not as old as what most people consider vintage, but it was made very similar to the older ones. I'm thinking of sending it off for a valve job, but kept well oiled it sounds big and beautiful. What I like most is the large bell, and the short valve stems, oh and the wide wrap, and the cool valve caps, and the most unique valve springs I've seen anywhere. I will probably find a nickel plated connstellation someday to go with it. Just look at the picture of Dale Proctor's 1960 6B and imagine it in all silver without the fancy engraving, and that is my horn. Does anyone else have one like I'm describing?
