mikeblutman has a spectacular aura about
"Ring of Fire" by Kevin McKee

Kevin McKee's brass quintet, "Escape," has been a favorite all over the country, performed by dozens of professional and student quintets from coast to coast. He has recently written another, "Ring of Fire", now available for purchase from Balquhidder Music at Balquhidder Music

This one has a great "Zorro" flair and will be just as enjoyable for the musicians and audience. I'm sure this one will quickly make its way into the standard "showpiece" quintet literature.

You can listen to a recording of the piece, played by Continuum Brass at the above link.

The Continuum Brass are: Kevin McKee and Brandon Almagro (trumpets), Mark Wakefield (horn), James Kent (trombone) and Karl Wiederwohl (bass trombone). They are comprised of current and former students from the University of Maryland and currently occupy chairs in the Quatar Symphony, Navy Band, Great Noise Ensemble, National Philharmonic, and have subbed or formerly played in the National Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, and several other ensembles.
