Re: concert band class

Man, I had the same problem all through high school. I'll never forget the year I came back after drum corps. We had a new teacher, a very good one (Brian Williams, Taught SCV, and marced Contra there ) and he called us to attention, which took everyone forever. and we put up our horns to play our show. Now I had just gotten the music that day, so I knew I would mess up at least one thing, but it was pretty easy music, so I would be ok, anyways, he counted us off, and I waited for my entrance. I played my part pretty well, and when we finished, EVERYONE looked at me and was like... "...woe..." I realized I was the only one who played, and played with balls. From then on, everybody saw me as some sort of god. They never got better, but I did. Thats what you have to do.

Dont let other students hold you back. Become the best you can be, and thats all you can do.
