No, it's not so crazy, and just another example of noise pollution in modern times. I once had a car installer who would proudly demonstrate his car audio system by placing a plastic cup on the roof and then make it bounce from the sheer volume of his audio system. He spoke rather loudly most of the time (Wonder why ?)
These examples are something our forefathers never encountered.
