I specifically wanted to get a replacement hard case for my grandfather's trumpet. While there are a bazillion hard cases out there, very few are large enough to hold a Harmon mute or cup mute. For that reason, I had Interstate Music (which happens to be local to me) order me a DEG hard case. After waiting six months, it turned out to be ok, but had I seen it in person, I think I would have said, forget the mutes, and bought a Gator instead.

I do not trust these soft cases with my heirlooms. But, that's just me.
