Re: New trumpet in NY?

Thanks, I have contacted Felix and am now thinking even more seriously about a stage 1 trumpet. His suggestion was the vintage or the NY 7 model, what are your opinions about these ones? I am more interested in the characteristics that makes them good, rather than that they are good trumpets -I do not doubt that!
Krydolf, I understand where you're coming from. I live in Beijing so even trying a horn is out of the question for me. I don't really know where to purchase a cheap, high quality horn. For this reason I've been doing a lot of research.

Ideally, my future horn is going to be under $2000, but before that I did look at the Stage 1 Vintage as a potential horn. From what I've heard, it has the characteristics as a Bach Strad, only of far better intonation, slotting, quality, and everything else. Basically, if you enjoy the sound of a high quality Bach Strad then the Stage 1 Vintage would probably be right for you.
