Yes, Chris is an extremely talented trumpet player who is quite busy in town. I never got the chance to hear him play Gypsy.
Another pitfall of playing something 8va (besides having to do it every night, even when you are not at 100%) is that when you take off your sub has to do it the same way. Most conductors want to hear the same exact thing each night. THat can really trim down your sub list quickly!
