| Re: Schilke student trumpet? If I recall correctly, they even had the hexagonal top & bottom caps that Schilkes are known for. I considered buying an extremely used one. I think it was the M-II. I played on it for a few weeks. There was really nothing special about it, so I passed. That was my first experience with Schilke so it was an eye opener when I later tried a B6L. There was such a HUGE difference in quality & playability. The M series (at least the one I tried) didn't do the Schilke name justice. I'm currently on a S42 which I've been playing for 15 years.
