stchasking they are indeed very poisonous. Dogs are very curious animals and often catch and take toads in their mouth. Vets make a lot of money out of this, because a cane toad can kill a dog. they have poison sacks on their back which release the poison it the toad is threatened.. Interesting enough the cane toad is one of the only animals that can eat bees.. Bee keepers need to keep their hives off the ground for a variety of reasons, but in Queensland a cane toad will knock on the hive in the middle of the night and wait for the bees to come and and pick them off one by one .. more on cane toads here

Oh I forgot to add that young kids often lick the backs of cane toads because the poison is also a hallucinogen... Even dogs have got in on the action
