If you had a set of dent balls, it would be easy, but you might want to consider taking a marble, laying it in the second valve slide and comparing that to the same from some known bore sizes. A micrometer would be more exact, more fun to use, and can be used for mouthpieces too, but sometimes it is easier to justify buying marbles to replace those we have lost than a new tool to our spouses.
