On the differences between the Ambassador and the Special I agree with Dale. I have one of each of the cornets from the L.A. plant and the same from Fullerton. They all play decently, but, none of the above comes close to many of my other cornets. I think that the current sag in prices on them is probably reflective of their musicality. About that rooster, I can't seem to get one to hold still for long enough to insert a mouthpiece into his 'receiver'.
