Re: Case Alternatives?

I've got kids and a dog, so mine always go back in a case. Pro-tec and gator make some fairly inexpensive cases. I just checked Woodwind & Brasswind – Orchestral and Student Instruments: Violins, Cellos, Trumpets, Flutes, Clarinets and they've got the "GIG" brand cases (look like a school backpack, but are trumpet cases) on sale for $20. Buy one of these and hang it on a hook. There were a number of options for minimal protection under $40.
