In 1918, Stravinsky wrote a piece called the Soldier's Tale. He wanted to base it on "Jazz". He never heard Jazz but saw it written down. He chose 2 instruments from each section and one player to play all the percussion. He substituted the Bassoon for the Sax. The piece has three speakers and is danced
