For $1500 I am sure you will find something decent. I recently played Stomvi, Kanstul, B&S C trumpets and could live with any of them. Make sure that you play before you pay. Do not buy an instrument that has serious intonation issues. There are enough decent axes out there. I have a 35 year old Bach C that had serious intonation issues until it got a tuning bell mod. I still don't play it very much anymore.
