screamingmorris has a spectacular aura about
Bach mp on Conn cornet?

As most people already know, Christine of Conn Loyalist has published proof that Conn cornets made pre-1958 have specially-shaped mouthpiece receiver tapers that work best with short-shank mouthpieces.

I completely trust Christine's research, but I don't know how critical the difference is in practical terms.
So I would like to take a poll to see just how critical that difference in mouthpiece taper really is.

Does anyone here successfully use a modern Bach mouthpiece on a pre-1958 Conn cornet?
From your personal experience, should I have any problems using my Bach 7 and Bach 7E mouthpieces on a pre-1958 Conn cornet?
Would my Bach 7 and 7E mouthpieces extend completely past the mouthpiece receiver into the leadpipe?
