All Bach leadpipes in use today are freer than the 25 (Except the 6, used on the TR300). But they each have different degrees and types of openness. the 25-O has a similar sound to the 25, the 43 is brighter, the 44 is even brighter, and the 7 is darker than the 25. There's also reverse tuning slide. Each one is different and none of them are the end all for a free blow. As Rowuk said:
