Re: Huller Bb/C peashooter

Maybe you saw the one pictured on Horn-u-copia's Huller thread? Reply #7, a Huller Champion Bb/c Trumpets, showing the extra slide module which I suppose is to change the pitch. Definitely a pea-shooter. My Czech small bore is of similar design except it's just a Bb and doesn't have the distinctive bracing.

A post on the company history says:
"Franz Xavier Huller was born 12/29/1856;, in Pechbach, founded his factory in Graslitz in 1880. Ther company name was F.X. Huller (with umlat) until 1920.Then his sons in law :Anton riedly and Ernst Modl became partners. The name was changed to F.X. Huller & co.

Anton Riedl, was born in 1861 and established his own company in 1885. Anton Riedl was an accomplished machine, bell and instrument maker. A specialty of his were octagonal trumpet bells. He closed his own company and building in 1936.

After WWII, Ernst Modl re-opened F.X Huller the company in Neustadt/Aisch and change the name to EMO (from his name Ernst Modl). This company was closed after his death in 1972.

A lot of interesting horns from their history are pictured and described.
