The owner told me the Bach bell was put on the horn because of an accident that bent the original bell pretty badly. He said the only bell available at the repair shop was a Bach 37. That is the only reason it has a Bach Bell.

There are a few dents that I will have to look at. For the price I think I can get it and have a Getzen bell installed without too much hurt. I wouldn't be surprised if Getzen refuses to refurbish the horn with a Bach bell on it.

I am starting to be suspicious of my large bore Bach having some tuning problems. I think the horn needs a higher level player to get it in tune than I am capable of. I am thinking a ML bore is going to help me get in tune better. It may be a harder blow but I am willing to do that if I can narrow my pitch problems.
