Beautiful song! I'm learning it and have 2 recorded versions that are fantastic, one from Miles Davis and a very beginner-friendly version by Chet Baker, where he plays the melody through the first time almost note for note (from my Real Book).

I can't seem to find another version that is SUNG..... great lyrics by Hart here that I would like to hear. Any ideas?

HI mister Wise,

I know that you know much about jazz and past times. So I would like to ask you, if you know the detalis about album "Something Else" on one tune Miles says "Is that what you want arthur". Now I figured it wasnt planned it just happened and the editors left it there on purpose, because it is quite fun. But is there a story beneath that sentence. Also who is Arthur?

Well, I really could use some information from some experienced musicians. Although I dated a great coronet player in college, UNT which was then known as North Texas State University. :worthy:

I have a Getzen 300 series coronet with a Vincent Bach Corp Mouthpiece 10 1/2 C that my son played about 10 years ago. We bought it used but I have been told by a couple of band instructors that it was a good coronet. However, I haven't a clue what it is worth:oops:and since I don't know where to find hot lips from college:lol: I could really use any information that the greats :thumbsup: can provide me with! tHANKS FOR ALL OR ANY HELP YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE! :-) fame23
