WTS Hub Van Laar OIRAM Flugelhorn in brushed red gold finish with polished red gold trim and bell wash.

I have had the flugel for a few months...but, except for a few scales and songs, has not been played. There are absolutely no marks, dings, dents or marks of any kind.

The horn has Bauerfiend valves. Extremely fast and quiet.

I am asking for a price of $3,900. This is the cost of the horn, plus shipping and customs duties into the US.

As I mentioned earlier, the horn has not been played on. You will get a brand new horn without the 16-20 week wait when you order from Hub Van Laar. If you look around, these flugels sell for well over $4,000. I am a collector and that is why the horn has just been in a case.

I will say that this horn sounds and plays great, but that would be self serving. I think if one were to search the net about how these horns play and sound, it would be more credible. I would post a recording of the horn....but I am not a good enough player to bring out it's qualities.

I do not know how to post pictures, but if you send me a pm, I can email them to you. You can also go to the Hub Van Laar website and see more professional photos. They even have one in brushed red gold. Needless to say, it is an absolutely beatiful looking horn. It is a piece of art.

I am also selling an OIRAM Bb in the exact same finish. If someone where to take both, I am willing to take a bit off on the price.

Please pm me for pictures and any more information.

Thank you

For Sale: Shepherd's crook Bb cornet built by Curtis Palmer $930 including shipping (US shipping - Canadian shipping considered; will price upon request)
Offers considered.

Cornet is .464" bore, extensively engraved and is raw, polished brass. It is ready to be buffed and plated/lacquered. Does NOT include case or mouthpiece. Fits well in a Getzen case.

Mr. Palmer had this cornet engraved and sold it on eBay about 1 1/2 years ago as a way of advertising his services. Unfortunately for him, I won the auction - someone who rarely uses a cornet. This beautiful cornet needs a new, loving home and especially someone who can afford to have it plated or lacquered to show off the beautiful engraving. This cornet would look beautiful in silver with gold highlights!

As you can tell from the picture of the bell, this is cornet number 003 that Mr. Palmer made of this type.

The cornet is built on a Getzen valve block. The two-piece bell appears to have a slightly greater copper content than the rest of the brass used in the horn. All inner slides are nickel/silver. It is similar in how it plays to a Getzen 850 I once owned. This cornet is essentially new, with no dents, dings or scratches. There is only some occasional discoloration in the brass (water spots) that a light buffing will remove

See Seacat Music - Professional Band Instrument Repair - Manheim, Lancaster, York, Lebanon - PA for information about Curtis Palmer and his work. Especially look here: Seacat Music - Professional Band Instrument Repair - Manheim, Lancaster, York, Lebanon - PA
There are photos of this cornet's brother, 002, done in gold plate. Note that 002 does not have an engraved leadpipe as does 003.

Please email with any questions, comments, etc.
