![]() | 3thd trumpet section of my community band ![]() This picuture was taken at our Pre-memorial day celebration at the Vietnam Veterens Memorial in Columbus, Georgia. I'm the big goon on the left and to my right are Bill and Bob. Yeah that's sweat on my forehead. I'm proud to hold up the "low" end with these guys... Just thought I'd post it. The celebration was done wonderfully with presentations by the ROTC, active military and of course us providing much of the program music.

![]() | King, Looks like a pretty good group to me. Some of the best people I have known are the fellow trumpeters I have met in Community bands. Being from Michigan, have you taught them Euchre yet? Or is that only a Northern Michigan thing?

![]() | Yep, that's m'boy. Nice picture John. When Big J was comin' over for his first lesson, my husband was hesitant about leaving for work (knowing J's stature since I started teaching him by little video sessions). It was the funniest thing. He kept asking, "Are you sure you don't want me to stay around until he gets here?" I just laughed because having gotten to know him, I knew I had nothing to worry about. Still....it was funny. I'm the one John needs to fear anyway. |

Euchre is a game I was taught by my parents when I was very young. I grew up in south eastern Michigan just south of Detriot so as you can see it propagated statewide. I have taught some of my co-workers Euchre though!
