I've gone off snakes altogether. Instead, I bought a smallish ultrasound bath - just large enough to take the bell and valve block. Works a treat, and creates a little bit of revenue offside - I offer to clean friends' hooters for a few bucks.
Better customer service would have been to do it for free...

If it took the tech an hour to get the brush out of the crook then I'd change techs.
1) first try the "surgical clamp" 7" Hemostat Clamp
2) if that doesn't work then break out the dent balls and flexible driver. Any decent tech can clear a clogged slide
with this equipment in minutes.
