![]() | Out of curiosity, what do you have to do for a DCI audition? I've seen a couple of shows and there are some real monsters, I'm guessing you don't go in and play Petrouchka and Mahler 5... |

| When I auditioned for Crossmen in '05, I played Hungarian Dance No. 5 and Londonderry Air for the first camp. For the rest of the winter camps, I had to play show music and technical exercises from memory. The first audition just gets you in the door. The rest of the "check-ups" were what really counted. People who didn't have their music memorized were cut from the line. While chops are important, corps look for hard work and dedication more than anything.
