| Al Hirt at funeral today! I'm a trumpet player for good ol Uncle Sam. So I'm doing my job today playing taps at a funeral for a vet. We get there way early and I'm walking around this mauseleoum looking at all the names and stuff like I usually do when I'm trying to kill time. And whose remains to I come across? Al Hirt! They had his ashes in a nice wooden box, and there was even an Al Hirt model jet tone piece in the little display. I played just around the corner from his final resting place. No pressure huh? -missednote |

| Very cool Missednote We have to wonder how much of that goes on considering we've laid to rest so many great symphonic and jazz players. If you believe in such things, lets hope Mr. Hirt's spirit zapped down to hear your performance and give you that extra Too bad you don't a picture to post here of his resting place. |
