I've been working on a wall so when I get an office all the empty space can be filled up with trumpet autographs of my favorite players. Who I have so far:
Malcolm McNab
Bobby Shew
Chase Sanborn
George Graham
Canadian Brass
Allen Vizzutti
Leon Merian
David Hickman
Ray Mase
Sergei Nakariakov
Marvin Stamm

I'm always looking to get more so if anyone knows some other big name players that don't mind sending let me know. It's so inspiring to look at them all, especially when having a bad day!!

When I was in high school I wrote to all of my favorite trumpeters and most of them sent their autographed pictures. A few included CD's too. Here's a list of most of them (the ones I can remember anyway):

Phil Smith
Manny Laureano
Susan Slaughter
Bernie Adelstein
Don Tison
Armando Ghitalla
Lloyd Geisler
David Bilger
Mike Sachs
Paul Merkelo
Charlie Schlueter
Wynton Marsalis
Frank Kaderabek
William Vacchiano
Barbara Butler
Charlie Geyer
Marvin Stamm
Arturo Sandoval
Maynard
Doc
Buddy Childers
Allen Vizzutti
Vince DiMartino
Seymour Rosenfeld

I am so greatful to all of these wonderful players for their generosity!

talcito has a spectacular aura about
I only have one----- Dizzy Gillespie.

I am pretty shy about asking but thankfully my wife is not.

A couple of years ago she was at the airport when she saw some airport personnel assisting a gentleman who had just fallen on the automatic walking path.

She walks up to the gentleman who had just fallen and says "Hey, I know you ---You are Dizzzy Gillespie, my husband is a trumpet player"

Dizzy says "Dizzy Who"!!!!?

I have always enjoyed getting autographs. I have:

Doc, Roy Hargrove, Clark Terry, Mike Vax, Bobby Shew, Wynton, Phil Smith, Jon Faddis, Al Vizzutti, Vince Dimartino, Marvin Stamm, Arturo Sandoval, George Vosburgh, William Vacchiano, Maynard. I think that about sums it up. All were obtained in person, at concerts and masterclasses.

delay that!

I just got Chase Sanborn's CD in the mail today and it was so nice to see that he signed it himself.

Thanks Chase - it's wonderful

Just Doc Severinsen and the trumpet player from the Miami Sound Machine back in the late 80s. (Not Teddy Mulet, the other one)
