Bb orchestral use

it's often mentioned that american orchestral trumpeters like to use large bore Cs....is there a preference for large bore Bbs also?..or do they find an ml bore suitable?

Most players I know use a medium-large B flat trumpet and a large bore C.

i'd like to listen to a Bb played in an orchestral context.
can you suggest a recording that might be widely available in which the Bb is used?

Listen to the London orchestras: the LSO with Maurice Murphy or Rod Franks, for example.

Just to add to what Jack said, I hear Maurice used a standard Bach 37 with an unmodified 3C, very basic setup.

It's really all up to the player brother. I like the LB C/Bb's just cause I'm a big guy and push a lot of air. There are plenty of recordings with both ML and LB horns being used. Just do some research. Take care.

That's probably correct. Bbs are the standard orchestral trumpet over here.
