How do you find out/where do you look for vacancies in the broadway orchestras? Thanks!

Tony is the best one to answer this in detail, but in a nutshell - you have to know someone playing a show to get on the sub list. There aren't auditions for pit orchestras in the same way as orchestra jobs....

Sandy is correct. There are no auditions. It's just word-of-mouth & getting on the sub list of a regular player. The problem is that there are fewer trumpet chairs on broadway each year.
