I'm pleased to let everyone know that the brass faculty for the 2011 Boston University Tanglewood Institute is all set, and it looks like an exciting year for all of us!

The Two Week Workshops (June 19 - July 20) will again be led by BU faculty members Terry Everson (trumpet), Eric Ruske (horn), Don Lucas (trombone) and Mike Roylance (tuba). The quintet in residence for the Young Artists Wind Ensemble (July 3 - July 30) will be the Motor City Brass Quintet, and the brass coach for the Young Artists Orchestra (July 3 - August 13) will be David Krauss, Principal Trumpet of the Metropolitan Opera. This is a tremendous opportunity for young players to work with and hear some of the country's finest solo and orchestral artists, both directly through BUTI and with the benefit of the season-long Lawn Pass for all the Boston Symphony and Tanglewood Music Center concerts at Tanglewood.

Information about program details, eligibility and applying for BUTI can be found at Boston University Tanglewood Institute College of Fine Arts | Boston University.
